Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Thorough knowledge of routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to support the activity of one or more research labs. Uses specialized equipment and materials. Knowledge of safety standards and procedures. Ability to be trained in basic bench work on the job. Performs a variety of routine laboratory maintenance tasks, including washing and sterilization of glassware, operation of autoclaves and other specialized equipment. Assists in ordering and maintenance of cleaning supplies inventory. Performs additional routine tasks, as required; complies with safety standards and procedures. May perform basic bench work under close supervision of Research Associates.
Requirements/Experience:
College coursework in biological sciences preferred. One to two (1-2) years actual lab experience.
Physical Demands:
Standing, walking, sitting required.
