As the site Medical Director, you will: Be providing clinical leadership to the health plan and be accountable for establishing utilization and quality outcomes of the plan membership. Collaborate with the Executive Director, Health Services Director and the entire Clinical team to establish and implement clinical programs to support and meet the business goals. Candidate Requirements
Summary of Qualifications Support the Clinical staff in daily review activities and external interaction and communication with network physicians. Conduct daily and ongoing clinical review and evaluation of clinical care and services provided to plan members. Interact, communicate, and collaborate with network and community physicians, hospital leaders, and other vendors regarding clinical care and services for enrollees. Use performance data to guide interactions. Conduct provider telephonic review and discussion, schedule on-site visits, and share tools, information, and guidelines related to quality, cost-effective health care delivery. Regularly have peer-to-peer dialogue to review care coordination issues, develop collaborative intervention plans and share ideas about network management issues. Serve as a clinical resource, coach, and leader for Care Coordination team. Share best practices with other medical directors and clinical leaders from other United Healthcare sites.
