Job Description for Director Interventional Cardiology
We are recruiting for our our client facility Hospital in Singapore:
The Director of Interventional Cardiology reports to the Head of Cardiology for the hospital. At present the lab performs 2000 diagnostic coronary angiograms per year, and runs an office hours primary PCI service. It has a staff of approximately 20, including consultant cardiologists, doctors in training, nurses and radiographers.
The Director will develop and sustain a high quality interventional program at TTSH. This will involve key areas such as:
Performing clinical interventional cardiology
Managing the cath lab staff and facilitating their professional development
Overseeing the development of a cardiac catheterization database
Quality assurance and audit initiatives
Managing the administrative aspects of the dept. such as financial management and service planning
The Director will lead a high-volume interventional program in a busy hospital practice, with both primary and elective PCI / stenting, and should have a personal aggregate experience of at least 1000 cardiac interventional procedures.
The Director will also have familiarity with interventional techniques and devices such as IVUS, pressure wires, rotorblator, protection devices and mechanical circulatory support is expected. Competency in peripheral vascular intervention would be an advantage.
