Description:
Job Description (part-time 32hrs/wk)
Coordinate the residency program functions acting as key staff liaison for clinic activities. Provide administrative support services and manage communication for faculty and residents.
Create and maintain on-line clinic and call schedules for resident physicians. Work with resident physicians to insure appropriate time for rotations, courses, CME, etc.
Answer administrative phone lines. Greet, screen, and provide information to visitors.
Process faculty and resident travel/expense reimbursements.
Manage calendars for faculty, setting up meetings and appointments as needed.
Manage medical student teaching calendars.
Type and distribute minutes for various clinic meetings. Support functions of committees. Type, photocopy and distribute conference/seminar and other educational materials. Provide back up to other Administrative Coordinators. Other duties as assigned.
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served.
Performs other duties including Performance Goals developed by manager and employee and reported in the employee’s Performance Review as part of UMPhysicians’ Performance Management tools.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Some post high school education, or related secretarial or business office training is preferred.
Three years secretarial experience. Experience with word processing and other computer applications, including spreadsheets. Experience with editing and writing.
Excellent organizational skills, good problem solving skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, proficiency with MS Office, excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, excellent proofreading and editing skills, typing speed of 70-80 wpm, medical terminology.
Excellent customer service skills.
